I DUNKED!

So, it didn't quite look like that-but for the first time since I was 16 I dunked in a game. We were playing at the church, I stole the ball at half court, was getting chased down by a kid who doesn't like me because I block him all the time (he was going to try and foul me hard) and just decided to go for it. I elevated and jammed it with 2 hands and I hung on the rim and rocked back and forth, because by this point there were a few kids underneath me. Oh man, it felt so good. I guess the squats I have been doing at Gold's have helped.

Possible new home?

We made an offer today on this two story neo-Tudorbethan home. 4 bedrooms(one with an attached nursery), 3 bathrooms and 2471 square feet. 4 blocks from my work, 2 blocks from County Courthouse, 2 blocks from Municipal Courthouse, and 1/2 a block from the Elementary school. It is on two lots, right next door to the Catholic Private school. On the South of the house is the Private Catholic School Sacred Heart. Directly to the West is the priest's rectory; directly to the North is the nun's abbey. We are hoping that the offer will be accepted. If it is, we will move in the end of September.

Dan's new Calling

Melca told me 1 and 1/2 months ago that I was going to be called the 2nd counselor in the bishopric of our new ward.

You can call her a prophetess, because she was right! I was called today.

I guess that we are going to be staying in Dodge City for a while.
