Baby Blessing
Dear Heavenly Father, In the Name of Jesus Christ, we, priests after the order of Melchizedek, take this child in our arms, and by virtue of the priesthood which we hold, give him a name and a blessing. The name by which he will be known on the records of the church and during his time on earth is Daniel James Arkell, II. Heavenly Father, bless this child that he will be a man more precious than gold, bless him that virtue will garnish his thoughts unceasingly so that his confidence may wax strong in thy presence; bless him to be a man without guile; bless him to be valiant for courange, and strength and activity; bless him to have a wise and understanding heart; bless him that he will find an eternal companion whom he loves and cherishes, and who adores and treasures him; bless him that he will be happy with a quiver full of children; bless him that he will raise up a righteous posterity unto thee. These blessings and all those that Thou, the Father of his spirit knowest he stands in need of, we seal upon him, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
