We saw 1/2 of a tornado two days ago. About 2 miles from the house, a funnel cloud started coming out of the clouds nearly 2/3 of the way to the ground. It just dissipated and went back up into the clouds and the storm passed over us, just pelting us with hail golfball-sized hail. We ate dinner in the storm shelter. Fun times in Kansas!

Too close for comfort. Remind me never to move to Kansas.
Very Cool shot.Thats the life of a Jayhawker lol at least there you can see and or hear them coming.(I know I was born in Kansas)Here they just drop out of the sky,the only prewarning you get is after the hail,get real small or they'll drop on you.
Scary! I came across some tornadoes when I lived in north Texas during military training. I was really close to my dorm room.
